July 2009
Another month of summer has come and gone, but this is a favorite time of the year for all of us at Crossroads Properties. We are greatful for the relationships we have with all of our tenants and welcome the opportunity to serve you at the annual cook-outs.
Please take a few minutes to read this newsletter. It will bring you up to date on upcoming events, give you some ideas how you can join us in becoming more environmentally friendly and shed some light on opportunities.
Please forward this link to your employees. If you received this link by forward and would like to be added to the mailing list, please let Dawn know by email dwessels@crossroadsproperties.net

Motion Sensors
You may have noticed that there are now motion activated light sensors in many of the common areas of the office buildings. We are targeting areas with intermitent use where we have typically kept lights on all day. To date we have installed about 30 sensors. We have started with restrooms and mechanical rooms, but will continue to install in other areas as appropriate.
Electronic Payments
We are in the process of setting up a new system to accept electronic payments! We now have the ability to accept credit cards for rent payment over the phone. Soon you will have additional option of logging onto your account via the website and enter checking or credit card information. Please note that there will be a transaction fee of 2-3% for all credit card payments.
We had hoped the website option would be up and running for all buildings by the end of July, but we have had some delays. Watch for details in the next newsletter and on the website. Please contact Dawn or Lindsey if you have any questions about making electronic payments.
Co-mingle Recycling Containers
Small blue recycling bins have been added to the snack bar and PO Box areas of the following office buildings: 7200 & 7300 Hudson, 700 & 710 Commerce and 600 Inwood Ave. Please use these containers strictly for co-mingle recycling (cans, bottles, mixed paper) and NOT for trash. If your office does not already have separate bins for office paper and cans/bottles, please consider it. Any container with a proper label can work, but there are various sizes and styles specifically for recycables available for purchase on-line or at local home improvement stores.
Electronics Recycling
Thanks to all who participated in our electronics recycling pick up last week. We collected approximately 1,860 pounds of electronics. The next pick up will be in about 2-3 months.
