As you are likely aware, Crossroads Properties takes a great deal of pride in the efforts that we have made the past two years to increase recycling throughout our complex and within our tenant suites. Crossroads was even recognized by RecycleMN and the City of Oakdale for the increased recycling and reduction in trash. Unfortunately, within the past few months, we have noticed an increase in recyclable items being thrown in with the trash throughout our projects. One problem area we identified is recyclables put in the trash containers in the common areas and vestibules, therefore, we are in the process of placing recycling containers next to all common area trash containers.
In addition we are finding recyclable items in our dumpsters and some non-recycables in the recycling container. Click Here to view a pdf with recycling guidelines. Also note, that packing styrofoam CAN NOT be included in the single sort recycling, but the Washington County Recycling Guide lists some places that will accept this type of material for re-use.
We are reaching out to all of our tenants to ask that they choose recycling wherever possible. If your office is in need of desk size recycling containers, please let us know and we would be happy to drop some off to your office. If you, or someone from your office recognizes a way that Crossroads could help make recycling easier, please feel free to email that to us as well. We will do whatever we can to ensure that Crossroads Properties stays a leader in the recycling movement.
