Crossroads Properties Newsletter- September 2019

Summer is winding down, but the activity level at Crossroads seems to be picking up!  We continue work on several building upgrades and preparing space for tenants; as as you will see below, we continue to find new space for existing tenants that are growing.  We have had several new team members join the Crossroads family in the past few months – please see below for additional details.   Several food trucks have visited both our Oakdale and Woodbury locations, with more on the schedule this fall.   Finally, we are reflecting on Crossroads Properties 30 years in business.  The business began back in 1989 and we still have some of our original tenants!

New Team Members

Rachel Moore and Anne Anderson

Rachel Moore and Anne Anderson have joined our team.  Rachel is providing assistance to our Sales and Leasing Team as well as helping with our internal leasing efforts.  She has already provided great insight and support since she started in May.   Anne is now our office administrator and primary support for the Operations Department.  Their energy and enthusiasm for serving our tenants is greatly appreciated by all!

Annie Born, Brenden O’Bryan, and Michaela Born

We also had a great crew providing grounds work and additional support to our Operations team recently.  You may recognize Annie and Michaela Born (Jeff and Victoria’s daughters).   They are all back in school for the fall now, but we enjoyed having them around for the summer!

30 Years!

Crossroads Properties has come a long way in the past 30 years.  Crossroads Properties, Inc. was started in 1989 by David Johnson and his father Walter.  The goal has always been to develop assets for long-term hold, and to lease and manage the asset with our own staff.   What began with about 70,000 SF of office/warehouse has expanded to include over 800,000 sq. ft. of office, office/showroom, office/warehouse and service space primarily in the Oakdale and Woodbury area.  In addition, the team has grown from 2 to 15 members.  The business got its start back in 1989 and we are fortunate to continue leasing to some of our original tenants: Delwin Transfer and  B & A Auto.

Food Truck Events

We continue to receive positive feedback from tenants about the various food trucks we host.  We have several scheduled in September and look to add more in October.  Please save this link: Crossroads Food Trucks for the schedule and location of all food trucks going forward.  The calendar will be updated as we add more events. We continue to reach out to other vendors to schedule events based on tenant recommendations; if you have recommended a truck but have not seen them on the schedule, it is likely because they require a minimum guarantee to schedule; which we cannot provide.  If you have any suggested food trucks to invite to our locations, please email Dawn at DWessels@crossroadsproperties.net.  Please note that some trucks have requirements that we cannot guarantee to meet. If you have recommended a truck in the past but do not see them on the schedule, that is likely why.

Building and Property Improvements

  • We hope you are enjoying the landscaping improvements at many of our properties this spring.  We take great pride in our properties, both inside and out!
  • The LED lighting upgrades in office common areas are completed in some buildings and the others are scheduled.  We have heard great feedback from tenants in the completed areas.
  • We are in the process of updating our building systems controls at 600 Inwood Ave and 675 Nicollet Blvd E.   The new system will allow us more reliable data and consistent control of the heating and cooling systems in the buildings.   The 700 and 710 Buildings at Crossroads Commerce Center will be next.
